In Palawan, water is not scenery. It is territory: ancestral, titled, watched. Everything good in it belongs to someone, and the difference between a guest and a trespasser is a single word from the right person.
The episode is a four-day crossing between roadless islands, moving boat to boat on local terms. A seaweed cooperative that patrols its own reef. Fishing families who decide, daily, what the sea can spare. And Calauit, the island that was cleared of its people for a safari park and won back by the Tagbanwa, who own it again and choose, now, who steps ashore.
This is the season’s thesis at full scale: the most beautiful water in the world, and none of it open to the public. Permission is the destination. Liz has to earn it in every anchorage.
